My Journey
I was born in a remote rural village in Western Kenya, then moved to an orphanage in Southeastern Kenya, then went to West Africa, Ghana, and finally got to the United States.
As I started working in the United States, I didn’t feel like I was advancing. Despite my skills, experience, and performance, I felt invisible—overlooked in meetings, passed up for opportunities, and uncertain about my next step. I knew I had value to offer, but without the right positioning and strategy, I remained unheard, unseen, and underutilized.
And then I realized that the very thing that helped me, move across Africa to United States, is the same thing that helped me become valuable and visible in business. The key to success is self-leadership.
